"The Producers"📍
24 Hours in London: From Sun to Hail
Flying in early from Málaga, we landed in London on May 13th ready to squeeze every drop out of our 24-hour stay. First up: a nostalgic return to Borough Market followed by breakfast at The Breakfast Club. We stayed central, checking into a hotel at Trafalgar Square just as the British weather decided to alternate between beautiful sunshine and dramatic hailstorms.
Rather than letting the weather slow us down, we used it as an excuse to duck into the Lego Store. Then back to Trafalgar Square to meet up with Mike's friend from DC Mark Phillips. We all then explored the stunning Impressionist wing at the National Gallery. In the evening we had a delicious French dinner at a little bestro in Covent Garden before heading to the Garrick Theatre for The Producers. The intimate West End setting was a stark, beautiful contrast to Broadway—and getting to go backstage to meet Andy Nyman made it an unforgettable night.
Before catching our flight back to Torremolinos out of Gatwick the next day, we spent the morning at the London Transport Museum. For someone fascinated by anything that moves, tracing the history of the Underground from horse carriages to modern transit was the perfect end to a whirlwind trip.
Torremolinos📍
Our Newest Home
Torremolinos has a way of getting under your skin. What started as just another stop on our journey quickly turned into the place we decided to call home. There is a certain magic here—a blend of old-school Andalusian charm and a modern, open-minded energy that made it impossible to leave. We finally decided to hang up our hats and buy a house in this coastal paradise for a few key reasons:
Natural Beauty: Between the Mediterranean coastline and the Sierra de Torremolinos mountains, the views are breathtaking.
The Community: As one of Europe’s most iconic LGBTQ+ destinations, the sense of belonging in the Nogalera district is unmatched.
Connected: We are a 20-minute train ride from the culture of Malaga and only 15 minutes from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, making the rest of Europe and Africa feel like our backyard.
Torremolinos isn’t just a destination anymore—it’s the center of our world.
Valencia📍
Old-World Soul and New-World Vision.
Valencia captured our hearts with its stunning duality—a city where centuries-old stone cathedrals stand in perfect harmony with the futuristic curves of the City of Arts and Sciences. We spent our days walking the Turia Gardens, a riverbed transformed into a verdant ribbon of life that winds through the city’s core. From the bustling energy of the Central Market, overflowing with local flavors, to the quiet winter beach, Valencia felt like a celebration of the good life. It is a place that honors its history while boldly embracing the future, leaving us inspired by its light, its architecture, and its effortless Spanish grace.
Benidorm📍
24 Hours in Benidorm
A whirlwind day on Spain’s sun‑splashed Costa Blanca. We soaked up Benidorm’s golden beaches by day, wandering its lively promenades and turquoise coves, then dove headfirst into the city’s legendary nightlife. From sunset cocktails to shots with new friends in the wee hours of the mor ning. It was a full‑tilt, joy‑filled 24 hours that captured Benidorm’s irresistible energy
Alicante📍
Starting off the New Year in peace and happiness.
Our first two weeks of 2026 unfolded in Alicante, a coastal city that surprised us with its effortless beauty and spotless charm. Life here moves at a gentle pace—morning light spilling over the marina, palm‑lined promenades swept clean before most people wake, and a historic center that feels both polished and deeply lived‑in. We settled quickly into the rhythm of the place, wandering its tidy streets, savoring the winter sun, and appreciating how thoughtfully the city cares for its public spaces. Alicante offered us a soft landing into the new year, a reminder that simplicity, cleanliness, and natural beauty can make a place feel instantly like home.
